Secondary School

Shinagawa International School (SIS) in Tokyo now is an IB Middle Years Programme (Grades 6-10)  candidate school*   implementing the MYP curriculum framework. MYP is a continuum of the IB Primary Years Programme and enables students to further develop the skills, knowledge, and attributes they start to acquire in primary school.

*Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme (DP), or the Career-related Programme (CP). Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted.
