Summer School Program 2024 Overview 

Welcome to our Summer School 2024! We are thrilled to feature an immersive STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) experience for our students. The summer school program is specifically designed to cater to the educational needs and interests of children attending primary school, offering a diverse range of engaging activities and learning experiences tailored to their developmental stage and age group. Get ready to embark on a journey filled with exciting opportunities and hands-on exploration. From data handling to applying cooking skills, and exploring nature to creative writing, our program will engage students in a variety of disciplines. We are excited to foster their creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration skills while igniting a passion for learning. Join us for a summer of discovery and inspiration!

Non-SIS students are required to apply for a minimum of two sessions. This policy applies to all students who are not enrolled in the Shinagawa International School.

This year, the classes will consist of students of mixed-age, and each class has been designated with a unique shark name:

Summer School Program Hours and Location

Our summer school program at Shinagawa International School – Seaside Campus runs from 9:15 am to 3:00 pm. Join us at our picturesque location in Tokyo, situated at 140-0002, Shinagawa City, Higashishinagawa 4 Chome-8-8, for an enriching and enjoyable summer experience. Drop off and pick up at school

For drop-off, parents can bring their children between 9:15 and 9:30 am to the designated 1st-floor entrance. This ensures a smooth transition into our engaging learning environment. At the end of the day, children can be picked up from the same 1st-floor entrance between 3:05 and 3:20 pm. Our structured timing allows for a hassle-free start and end to the school day, providing peace of mind for parents and a consistent routine for students. We look forward to welcoming your child into our care and supporting their educational journey!

*If you are coming by car, please come after 3:20 pm to avoid road congestion.

Water Play & Field Trips

All Summer School students will participate in a weekly water play session at Konami Sports Centre (Higashishinagawa) with trained Konami instructors and lifeguards. All students are expected to participate in the sessions unless a valid reason is provided (e.g. a medical condition that prohibits a child from swimming). 

Summer school students will also have the opportunity to participate in field trips, which are scheduled for every Friday. Upon signing in, participants will receive more detailed information about these outings.

Weekly Newsletter for Families

On Fridays, the school will send summer school families a weekly newsletter via email including learning updates and reminders.

Tuition Fee75,000 JPY/week for SIS students,
85,000 JPY/week for non-SIS students
Cancelation Policy
  • All payments are 100% refundable if cancellation occurs on or prior to June 1st, 2024,16:00;
  • 50% refundable if on or before June 7th, 2024;
  • Non-refundable after June 7th, 2024, 16:00;
  • Any cancellations made by SIS are 100% refundable except for force majeure;
  • No refunds for any days of absence including absences due to sickness.
Bus service20,000 JPY/week
The school will contact families who requested bus service with the details including time and stop location.
Dress CodeStudents are free to wear casual and comfortable clothes that are appropriate for the weather and activities.
