This year, our Year End Performance 2022 was a collaboration between our PYP and MYP campuses, celebrating the 1980s decade. Students acted out and sang popular songs from the 80s including Livin On a Prayer, Footloose, All Night Long, We Will Rock You, and Walking on Sunshine just to name a few. Our MYP band played live music as well as our upper primary students for the performances. Students in our drama club ASP researched about the 1980s and wrote the scripts for the show, as well as helped to choose the songs. As part of Arts Week, our art classes created many of the props that were used on that day, along with each individual classroom. Students used learner agency to create and design these props and create the dances for each performance of Year End Performance 2022. Finally, our Kindergarten and grade five students celebrated their graduations. We heard about their favorite memories, saw wonderful slideshows about their time so far at SIS and each student received a certificate of completion as well as a gift from SIS. It was a wonderful way to end our 2021-2022 school year.
